Elaine Allan is an industry-leading Executive. As the Executive Director & CEO of of a provincial non-profit organization, she helps build the economy by promoting skilled trades & technology careers to youth through Olympic-style competitions, in-school programs, young women in trades conferences and online challenges.

With a strong background in technology & business, Elaine hopes to bring her private sector expertise to City Hall and help foster a Vancouver that welcomes innovation.

Elaine is a strong advocate for women and worked at WISH (Women’s Information Safe House) between 1998 and 2001. For years, she has been a voice for women at risk on the Downtown East Side.

She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from Carleton University and then went on to obtain a Master of Business Administration from Purdue University.

Elaine is most recently, the recipient of the Parliamentary Distinguished Service Award.
